International Cultural and Art Exchange
1. Theme: International Culture and Art Exchange
2. U.S.A Time: 12/26/22 on Virtual
3. Participants:
—Bay Area High School Students in the United States of America of the Youth Art Foundation.
—Laiji Elementary School Students in Taiwan
The school is located in Laiji Village, Alishan Township, Chiayi County. The parents of the school district are all Tsou aborigines. The economic life is mainly based on planting tea, vegetables, and bamboo shoots. It is a typical rural society. It takes about 40 minutes to walk to the school from the farthest part of the school district. It is a big challenge for the younger students, but the children can manage to overcome it.
4. Content and process:
(1) American students show how Christmas and New Year are celebrated, and teach Laiji students how to create / design a spring festival couples.
(2) Children from Laiji, Taiwan will show how Christmas is celebrated in the Laiji ethnic group,they will sing the Tsou traditional song.
